Anti-Bullying Campaign Kick-off

The Lancaster ISD Police Department announced today that they will kick off their second annual district-wide anti-bullying campaign in October. The police department is expecting the anti-bullying campaign to impact more than 6,300 students from Pre K to 12th grade.
The theme this year is ‘Take a Stand, Lend a Hand, Stop Bullying.’ “We are excited about this initiative and are looking forward to getting into every school throughout the month to share this message with LISD students,” Chief Keith Wilkerson said. The anti-bullying campaign will consist of school-wide assemblies, presentations by Lancaster ISD police officers and several guest speakers. The students will have an opportunity to interact and enjoy Mc Gruff the Crime Dog and the Lancaster High School Tiger Mascots.
“The Lancaster ISD Police Department understands that bullying is a wide-spread school problem and looks forward to promoting such a powerful interactive program,” Chief Wilkerson said.
