Principal's Message

Principal Watson

Dear Parents and Students,

On behalf of the faculty and staff of West Main Elementary, we would like to welcome our new and returning families to our school. We look forward to working closely with you as we provide a challenging, rigorous educational experience for our students.  I encourage your active support and participation as we seek to provide a positive learning environment for all of our students.

We firmly believe that a home/school partnership is necessary for the success of our students.  I encourage each of you to remain active in your child's education by emphasizing the importance of education through the following:

  • Ensure that your child is at school on time each day
  • Attend parent/teacher conferences and school events
  •  Monitor your child’s homework daily
  • Read with your child or encourage your child to read daily

It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful staff, community of parents and, more importantly, a phenomenal group of students!  Our staff collaborates as a professional learning community to ensure we meet the academic promise of our students. State content standards guide classroom instruction and our highly qualified and professional teaching staff continuously challenge our students.

Once again, welcome to West Main Elementary School - we are glad you are a part of our team!  I look forward to partnering with you as we begin to "Make It Happen" for our students.

Proud to be Your Principal,
Kelli Watson
